This autumn, the Kadriorg Art Museum in Tallinn presents Garden of Delights: The Seventeenth Century in Bloom, a major exhibition organised in collaboration with The Phoebus Foundation (Antwerp). From 30 August 2025, more than 300 works from the Foundation’s collection will be on view in Tallinn, offering an unprecedented exploration of nature and flowers in seventeenth-century art of both the Northern and Southern Netherlands.

22 July marks the 307th anniversary of the founding of Kadriorg Palace and its park and the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Kadriorg Art Museum as a branch of the Art Museum of Estonia dedicated to foreign art. Since the Kadriorg Park Flower Garden is also celebrating the same anniversary, festive events dedicated to all of the anniversaries will take place both in the palace and in the park, offering guests a rich and diverse programme.

The Art Museum of Estonia is marking the Song and Dance Celebration week with special guided tours across all five of its branches: Kumu Art Museum, Niguliste Museum, Kadriorg Art Museum, Mikkel Museum, and Adamson-Eric. On July 2–4, each museum will host two special short tours daily: at 1 p.m. in English and at 3 p.m. in Estonian.

From 29 March, the Kadriorg Art Museum will host the international exhibition Bernardo Strozzi: Beyond Caravaggio, featuring 40 works by this key figure of the Early Italian Baroque. The works are on loan from European museums and private collections and include several pieces that have never before been on public display.

The Kadriorg Art Museum is committed to researching and presenting the European and Russian artistic heritage.

In the year 2024, 349,004 art lovers visited the branches, exhibitions and audience programmes of the Art Museum of Estonia. Among them, over 25,100 students and adults took part in educational programmes.

On 17 November, the Art Museum of Estonia celebrates its 105th birthday. According to Chief Executive Officer Sirje Helme, the Art Museum of Estonia, celebrating its 105th anniversary, is an organisation with long traditions, and with great potential for development and success.

The exhibition, which opens at the Kadriorg Art Museum on 21 September, explores the history of the collection of the Art Museum of Estonia from its foundation in 1919 until World War II. 

The Art Museum of Estonia comprises five museums in Tallinn with a varied exhibition programme. These museums, each with its own image and focus, offer exceptional art exhibitions and a magical atmosphere that make your visit to the Estonian capital unforgettable.

The Proceedings of the Art Museum of Estonia is an annual peer-reviewed scientific journal. The journal publishes original research in the fields of art and museology, as well as texts concerning conferences and exhibitions held at museums.

On 13 April, the Kadriorg Art Museum opens the exhibition “España Blanca y Negra. Vision of Spain, from Fortuny to Picasso”, introducing Spanish art from romantic landscape paintings of the 19th century to the innovative pursuits of the young Pablo Picasso.

On 26 March, the Kadriorg Art Museum and Estonian Academy of Arts will start a collaborative research project with the aim of checking the condition of the Kadriorg Palace ceiling mural, mapping its damage and doing extensive examinations.
