Curator tour at the exhibition “Symphony of Art and Nature: The Serlachius Collection”
The curator-led tour introduces the collection founded by industrialist Gösta Serlachius and the collection of the art foundation bearing his name, which is one of the richest in Finland. The core of the Serlachius collection comprises works from the Golden Age of Finnish art, spanning the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with a particular emphasis on Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
In this exhibition, Finnish art classics, Western European Old Masters, and contemporary Finnish art are presented in dialogue with one another. This approach highlights the unifying thread of the collection—artistic mastery—while offering visitors the opportunity to appreciate both the universal and the distinctive qualities of art.
Participation is free of charge with an annual pass to the Art Museum of Estonia.
